I’m a real fan of Paid For Advertising. It keeps cost down and provides alot revenue for both parties. It’s the same as sponsoring a school newsletter or something like that. You get direct contact with your targeted audience. It’s the same in the world of Internet Press Advertising. We seen it all with places like Amazon, C|NET Central, MSN and others. It all started from barter trading of advertising revenue share with Books.COM and Amazon.
Now in this era of personal diary exclusives, deemed now as BLOG, everyone wants to get into the action. From Text Based Ads to Google Adsense, we seen it all. Now, the hype of blog advertising has come to port. It’s another way of people having HONEST opinion of a product, service or place. I am a techie. I charge at least $500 plus loads of freebies like free software and the product itself normally to review and make that push for sales.I still keep those softwares till now, some as expensive as $50,000!
In PayPerPost, they started a grab-it-quick system, similar to Loudlaunch or Blogitive. They gave 20 mins , then 30 mins to complete the whole post from the minute we click take Opp! In a real haste, we write as fast as we could, some with unethical means of cut-n-pasting or just plain rubbish. I did that, cos at times, the advertising does not let me fully grasp the concept of the product to review. Eventually a positive review become….well,crap.I had to rewrite and reword all over again. It has become not personal anymore. Alot of grammatical errors with loads of acronyms that should not be. Eventually, I was banned by 19 over advertising for being nasty. Some of the products need to be given an HONEST TRUTH, as how I always believe in, rather than to mislead the consumer.
Essentially the blogger will be held to account a good review which is actually NOT, as what described under Advertising Standards, Trading Descriptions and Fair Trading Acts.A small matter like that will tarnish your reputation FOREVER.
Segmentation is already here. At least we can pick and choose that is relevant to the site. However, they should at least reset all the counters and start it all clean! At least there is a fair share of happenings. However, the little guy has no chance in hell to get it cleaned up. Some of the bloggers don’t have full English Education so that will discriminate them, by means of them being Banned or what not.
I am quite sad now….eventually though there was a happy sentiment when I started this review. Looks like I have to go back and fish for more advertising revenue.
