It’s been a grueling week for me, with so much work and commuting between KL-Damansara-Port Klang and KULIM KEDAH all month and well, based from the work I do, it’s hard to make a decent living.Especially when your employer works with the government.
Right now, the UMNO General Election is due in August but what I heard is that it may be pushed forward ahead to as early as May to assess and defray any further erosion to the Economic Stability of the Country. So what gives I wondered and had an exclusive interview with one of their head honchos over the weekend while fishing on a jetty at Port Klang. Yes, they do that to defray any Paparazzi following or covering their actions.
The Anatomy of the Post Mortem basically reads to the cause of deceit and greed among the Malay Community in UMNO since their landslide win over the states in the 2004 General Election and all are running over because and for top job posts, forgetting their grassroots and causing mayhem to the public.
Among Issues Addressed were, the RUDE and CRUDE behaviour of the Members of Parliament during the Dewan Rakyat Sitting, calling names to their comrades and opponents which caused a huge public outcry locally and internationally.
Of which, the recent issues of the blatant disrespect towards the sovereign and the Sultans by the State Assembly and the Chief Minister was a big issue among the palace officials.Ultimate greed , arrogance and the error of judgment by the former Perlis Chief Minister had him in hot soup with the Sultan whom refused to have him as a Chief Minister. Word on the street heard by the Sultan that the former minister alleged to demand at least 40% equity in any foreign investment setup in the state caused many to shy away from the smallest state in Malaysia, which is about 50KM end to end. Even locals are shying away from registering their motor vehicles using the Perlis plates prefixed “R” as the resale or even second hand value drops over as much as RM10,000 as the bureaucracy within the state is horrendous. Even parking permits cost more than in Kedah by over 40%.
As for the issue in Terengganu, we decline to comment on the issue, but it’s a matter of misuse of funds by the previous administration. From being disobedient to the King who is now the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong to over priced projects funding their own pockets, the Palace had enough of this hanky panky. I was told that they are more angry at the last administration than of the Opposition Controlled Period during 2000 General Elections. The King now listens to the people just as how Kelantan is right now and since the King listened and the Administration heeded, everything is cool, and clear cut in Kelantan. As for Terengganu, it still stays the second poorest state despite having oil.
Pak Lah needs a new batch of people to get rid of the problems at the root. It’s like cancer and for the past 50 years people don’t mind much as long they are cared for, their religion and Sovereign respected but during the last 4 years it’s been downhill. Even neighbour cum Natural Enemy Singapore respected the Sovereign despite he being just a puppet. Any mention of the President (it’s Yang Di-Pertuan Negara before 1985, but still the same) will cause someone get the immediate penalty of death, heck, that we even have to stop and salute to him if we see him jogging in East Coast Park every saturday morning.
So, what else can be done? Get rid of these power crazy goons and well, we may have a better chance to survive this new era.
Malaysia today is not like past 5 years….
