Code Word : BROKEN ARROW. I repeat BROKEN ARROW.
Literally means in Military Terms is that the company or unit has been compromised and is defeated, requesting retreat or help to either evacuate them, or to destroy them.
Mine,is that my blog theme is dead. Somewhat some characters in the codex is not Wordpress 2.7 compliant and it’s screw up big time.
Well, like always, I need a new theme… so I’ll rebuild while it takes me a little bit. I need it anyway.
One down, 72 blogs to go. Stupid codex.
I’ve been reading my server logs and well it’s been a long list of http requests and lookups. Mainly, I’ve been getting the need of POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK SINGAPORE POSB bank identity code (BIC) or SWIFT code.
Lets’ put it blindly, the local system bank reference for POSB is… 9812-082 for ALL their savings accounts and it differ for their current accounts. SAYE accounts are too subjected to this.
Noted, if you wish to use your POSB Debit Mastercard for your PAYPAL is fine, but it does not load up. Does not work at certain places, and in the US, from what I heard. But if you need to use it for MONEYBOOKERS, then the code is THE SAME AS DBS BANK Swift code. If you don’t know what swift is, it’s Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication. Only European banks uses IBAN codes, which every account has their own code. IBAN is International Bank Account Number where like the Internet gTLD, the first 2 codes are from the country code. GB is the code for UK,as always the English don’t follow rules.
So, the code for POSB is: DBSS SG SG ,that’s TRIPLE S because all banks uses 4 character codes. Then followed by the country and city.
Common ones:
UOB/OUB/IBS : UOVB SG SG
CITIBANK : CITI SG SG (add PBG for private banking or CDP for CDP usages)
OCBC Bank: OCBC SG SG
RHB Bank Singapore: RHBB SG SG (not MYKL XXX)
MayBank Singapore : MBBE SG SG (for debit cards too, Malayan Banking BErhad)
Royal Bank of Scotland is RBOS SG SG
ABN AMRO is ABNA SGSG (while it’s changing to RBOS)
Note:
Singapore banks charges S$14 to receive the wire + 0.5%
Have fun!
My heartiest congratulations to Mr Anwar Ibrahim for his huge win at Permatang Pauh by Election.
I just hope thins are better for fellow Malaysians as things affect us Singaporeans.. heck of a lot.
So what is next? When can I have the 50sen drop in fuel prices…please
While many know I have many sites under my own network, many are just boring and dull, mainly because my theme is heck of a boring one, from Sapien Bryan which I modded too much. Themes come at not much of a cost, but nicely backgrounded one like ZYRAZ’S Chocolates which uses the backend of WordPress Themed had encoded so that I cannot modify the footer and remove the frigging spam links.
I want to see what I can do from the URI ENCODED, but someone in the WP Community should make it a point that themes with coded footers are a No Go. It’s like GPL or GNU Licensing but it’s modify and your taste thingy, without any parasites.
Oh ya.I run about 72 sites..for yr info, and tomorrow I’ll get my full capacity leased lines back after a 3 month delay from TM.
See how it goes
This is the PART 2 of the LEXMARK X9350 (44/45) experiment which made me a lot more of a mess than I thought I should be doing. Basically it’s a real tosser and well, I SCREWED UP.
I should have listened to some of the jokers that the 43 Color is made up of compartments and is more a hassle and dangerous than the 44 Black Kit which is just a simple drill and fill. Well, the errata:
You Need to PRY open the lid.
You do so by using a good Chef / Kitchen knife to pry it open. First use the SHARP tip of knife to pry the lid center where there is a little protrusion by hammering the tip to the protusion. Then use the CENTER of the knife and align the knife sharp edge to the gap between the lid and the canister. Crack it open. Then you can see the holes, and thus, refill as the instructions.
Cost wise? RM60,which lets you refill about 3 times, so it’s cheaper. But messier. Worth it? No, for me, since I messed up. But I can still use the method to add MICR tainted ink.
Well people, I have set up a temporary page, using WAP Enabled Page. It’s available by loading http://www.azrin.net/wap.php. It’s an easy task but to those who are a little duff in technical thingy, you should get the wp-wap compliments to LESTERCHAN.NET
Anyway, one simple trick to add to the URL, that is, if you type wap.azrin.net , it will go to the WAP Pages, and no, it’s all plain text.
Modify this to your .htaccess
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?wap\. [NC]
RewriteRule ^http://www.azrin.net/wap.php?$1$2 [L]
#WAP DRIVE
This means if anyone types in wap.azrin.net (or any other domain pointers) with or without the www, it will point to the wap page which is wap.php, similar to the wordpress generic. So in essence, this will look totally like
# BEGIN WordPress
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?wap\. [NC]
RewriteRule . /wap.php?$1$2 [L]
#WAP DRIVE
# END WordPress
Well, I just wish it works fine. I loaded it up on the wife’s blog and hopefully the Google Urchin detects it all.
Well, if those of us who don’t BLOG FOR MONEY don’t realise that it’s the time of the year where they try to smack you with points and demerits with the sense of paid advertorials or what not. I just feel that Google is now is getting the brunt of the internet wrath as their tactics are kind of making people’s earnings become like the stock exchange.. down mainly now.
I was going through the URLTrends and then forth saw the downward trends of all my sites and my friends, and those who I monitor much. So are we going to be afraid of Google and it’s Page Ranks? I don’t know yet.
