Crashed all about

Tuesday 22 July 2008 @ 10:12 am

Yeah, you heard that my hard drive went bonkers on me again…which I find it’s a norm, but when my data on my iTunes went berzerk, there goes my luck.

Movies galore, tales of the crypt makes me think ..how I am gonna waste my time, waitingfor my iPod Video to sync?? Well, last time that happened, cursed me with almost 2 days to optimise my photos and such, and so , with the slow broadband,I had to make do with all the connection CELCOM 3G can get me. Oh did I mention that I managed to get 1086KBPS on the CELCOM 3G Broadband, downloading my iTunes Video?

That is a little known secret here in DAMANSARA where the 2G Voice Calls are already at bad / intolerable levels of acceptance. Well, it’s off to shopping at HD Radio for me, to acquire more things to add to my iTunes.. which the Jensen JiMS 525i looks quite promising for me. It boost the iTunes Tagging which is a real boost to my workplace since it’s darn too quite for a work place, and my boss being stingy…don’t allow us to have a radio on even, citing us being distracted at such.

Durh. I said. At least with iTunes, I can get hold of the new music stations that is available over the web and play it over the bandwidth. So they thought they were smart heh??

Talk about SCIENCE ABUSE. Yeah, that is what my buddy called me, which the Brainiac show reminded me off. Rocket science or Nuclear Medicine ..which reminds him of the time I processed Waste Oil to Diesel and Gycerine with just plain Ethanol and some lye, and then blow some phosphorous Nitrate to the waste product and there we get ….well, something we shouldn’t play with, which is why, NANYANG never condone the Jurong Campus students, as we are always up to no good. Ask us to develop radio control airplane and get get full fledged aircraft and make digital drones from cellular communication of GSM (which has 30KM range, so I needed was a D-A and maybe a web cam to send the data down, with some sort of LPS or GPS)

That is why the dean was never happy to see me, as I may pinch his ideas…or make something worse. Compared to the batch of NYP students, we, the dinosaurs, are always creating ways to make life simpler. Like having a video recording of Mr Omar Parti whom was ever so boring….and ever so nagging… or Dr Phil Chan, who moves like speedy Gonzales to my standard, so we can later on review if we skipped that lecture….

Life.Crashed.

Up and away

Saturday 19 July 2008 @ 4:23 pm

I’ve been quite tied up for the past few weeks and the things that makes me very tied up, means…. alot of things are put off or delayed.

Of which,I’ve put off the changes need to my network security due to the lag (or incapacitated to be firm) of network connections to the web is a main issue.Of which also, the ZYRAZ website is not ready YET, and the other publicity campaigns is placed on hold till I get more staff in,as the operations end…is somewhat missing a few bolts.

So, anyway, congrats to my buddy AFIZ for his wedding next week (which is at 703 YISHUN …something which is just in front of CHONG PANG McD) and well, get well VERY QUICKLY will you. Sorry to see the state of his eye infection.

Take care guys….

Being Alive

Wednesday 2 July 2008 @ 9:44 am

Yeah, after a long while, I have got back to my feet, barely since the past few weeks have been very much eventful for me from the move North to South, bits and bobs, accidents alike and the works, things have been a whirl of events.

First off, I am no longer with Aductions as their street team.Due to changes in the way things goes, they feel that Malaysia can no longer support their ideals for Aductions Direct as supposed to them having a direct approach platform: Aductions Online.

Next up is that I’m still in Damansara, staying put for the next few months, or at the very least till April 2008, and well,I’ll be making other means to get things done, and get involved in other ventures, the sort.

There was network security issues that plagued the server. So I will be installing other security modules for the sort. The CRM system will be up and running as soon as I think it’s ready, somesort or rather.

About RATree Intra Holdings, I’m still a part of them, though I may not play a very active part in it.

Anyway, talking of which, I am growing more fond of APPLE Macintosh than ever before as I’ve had my run of bad luck with Windows XP Service Pack 2 recently. Yes, I thought that I could recover my system with SP3 from SP2 which is cluttered and boy was I WRONG. Now that I’ve had my iPod VIDEO 80GB Generation 1 to my own, I’m just plain happy with that little beast, and well, from my experience, MAC don’t normally give you issues unless it’s hardware failure and there U’ll see a sad MAC upon boot up.As fool proof as the ATARI AMIGA.

Yeah, talk about being retro, I’ve had my share of LISA, G1,G2,G3,G4, Power PC (by IBM Motorola), and the cute little 9 inch boxes to their latest , the MacBook Air, the THINNEST one on the street. And to TIM and MING of Nuffnang, I won’t settle less than an MACBOOK AIR or iPHONE 16GB as a prize copared the the cheapskate of an iTouch.

Somethings you don’t know:
MACS uses PARITY MEMORY. 8 BITS=ONE BYTE,Right? Nope. With a Mac, it’s 9 bits per byte as the last bit is utilized for the PARITY CHECK. Thus why MACS are darn EXPENSIVE, and I’m not sure about now though. Like 10001001 (Value of 137), the Parity is 1 as it’s ODD number of 1’s. (if my Data Communications and Algorithms are correct, if not..it’s back to Nanyang for me for DC101)

Mac RAM can be used in PC as PC don’t use parity. Parity check is utilized using a special chip. But PC RAM is unusable in a MAC. Or I may got my facts muggled up (between PC and MACs, so guys correct me)

Anyway, the new OSX is a cheat as it’s LINUX based and now MACs can run WINDOWS.
DURGH!

Still, I love my MAC.Despite the lack of accessories and the sort.
