No! I’m not talking about that honey roasted Gammon that you buy in the shop, which is an English Man’s Favorite Delicacy just as the Scots love their Sheeps’ Offals in their Haggis. I’m talking about a skill game that the Ancient Arabs and Jews love to play, Backgammon. Mainly I hate playing backgammon is the fact that I suck at playing skill games. I was terrible at chess , and now that Osman tagged me to play Backgammon, I already put up my white flag saying…LOOK, I lost already! While this is an interesting game where you capture the other persons’ castle by squeezing your men thru the lines of defence and hitting home, it’s also about you being able to manipulate the lines.

Just like ancient war fare, this is about strategy.It’s about manipulation, and it’s about sometimes, plain luck. Among many backgammon sites I’ve seen,this really looks interesting. At least they offer many localised languages to choose from , like Turkiye, Japanese, Greek (esp to me), Spanish and Tawula (is it arabic? I don’t know). They don’t offer this in Hebrew but then, the Israeli are already so smart in English that they can beat me in any game, anytime.

The graphics are nice, Real cool! The lady infront of the table reminds me of the Syberia 2 Game character and well, I did say I love games, just that I must go and get someone to play with , in real life to master this skill of Backgammon. Yes. I hate April! Firstly, it’s because of my Birthday is in APRIL, so I’m sure to be sabotaged by someone! Again….. That is end of the month!

But then, I hate worst is 5th April where I got to prepare the End of year P35-P60-P14 CIS RETURNS, and much more! Dang! It’s not that bad cos I got E-Filing to help me out. Plus I run alongside with my Quickbooks to do my paperwork ,especially with the PAYROLL.It’s not that messy actually for my UK operation, but when I got to fill all the 1040,1099 and whatever nots for my US Based e-Payroll, that’s when I start to hate April.

April, not the month is my tax attorney in Michigan and she loves to make things as complicated as possible for people like me (kidding) but mainly I hate the flipping Inland Revenue Service of the United States Government. Bad enough I have poor sentiments for George W Bush who beats about the Bush too much, but all the paperwork …is as thick as my yellow pages.

Lucky I saw the online tax filing software by ESmartTax.COM which allows me to computate my taxes all online, for nearly NOTHING if you do it all online. Yes, Online Filing for free till 15th October 2007! And if you need a 1040EZ ,it’s just $7.95 and $12.95 for state tax filing. I don’t know much, cos thus why I hate these paperwork!

Oooh just as well, I have to enjoy April, cos that’s also when I get a fat Tax Cheque Refund from my good buddy , Gordon Brown, who loves to overtax me, and this time, I think I am due for an almost $2000 in rebates!

Now, my next destination is Sydney Australia. Why, cos I got a free ticket a few yrs back before I got married to Melbourne and that time, I was abit broke. Literally, so I did not enjoy much and get alot of things done.

I do love to see the sights of the opera house, the harbour bridge and alot of things.But while I was in Melbourne, I spent my time at the Casino. Yeah. Won quite a lot, cover my cost of hotel etc, so I was darn happy!

Well, I did say I was a Geek, a Doctor and a Counsellor. All in one. But I prefer being a Geek cos mainly, there are so many things I can do and as a doctor, I am stuck to fixing people with the common problems.
