Is ReviewMe worth a review by itelf?

Sunday 24 December 2006 @ 8:55 am

I was sad looking thru some people not being paid on time by ReviewMe.Com
Like this dude @ http://www.bloggingpoet.com/bloggingpoetcom/2006/12/22/an-extended-review-of-reviewmecom.html

Seems that while even big time companies like Commission Junction or TradeDoubler have some technical difficulties, I kinda be soft with em especially during the winter months, due to technical errors, Like Tradedoubler, due to a payment technical banking error, we were paid 6months late.

So,at times, we need to get the cash quick,to pay bills and sort. But we have to be patient. This is not a fulltime job. A sideline as we deed it.

What do you think?

While on a gap break…

Sunday 24 December 2006 @ 7:37 am

Yep. you heard it. We went on a LONG GAP HOLIDAY while things chill down in London. Every year, we take a long break from the dodgy english weather and go back to our base in the far east. Trouble was, the post will need to be redirected and sucks when things go south. While our mailboxes are virtually never empty, the good people @ Royal Mail (yeah..they do lose about 1.73million post a year during christmas alone) can get our mail, franking orders and such be suspended and redirected.
Trouble is, the courier services like DHL , FedEx , UPS and PostNETstill knock on our door.

We did a DELIVER TO ROYAL MAIL SORTING OFFICE order for the ParcelForce Worldwide *(a sister company of Royal Mail) and get the Post Office to accept our mail and packages and redirect them at no extra cost, as Postage was PrePaid. But still having to tell that to FedEx?

So, what I normally did was to rent a MAILBOX from MBE in canterbury, but since the franchisee went outta business, I kinda tell em, to hell with it.

So, what’s the point now? Reject all deliveries and ask them to use POSTAL SERVICE. yeah. Foul of PostWatch for monopoly, but that’s the only way. Redirecting and making the maildrops are too darn expensive.

While we do a MailBox / Maildrop service in Malaysia here, it’s not as easy as 1-2-3. Postage rates are high here. And takes ages to get things done.
What to do, but still, if you still need a Malaysia Maildrop, let me know and I hook you up.

Best wishes.

and thank God for being here….see the horrible British Christmas Fog?

Skype Out charges….

Sunday 24 December 2006 @ 3:48 am

Let me get this straight, we have to pay for a connection charge now??
Then why are we still charged for our skype In??
3 Eurocents per call ….why did I blog myself about that so fast….

So, eventually, my London number, 020 and US number 517…then what of my Freefone / Toll free number?

Something new for those job seekers

Sunday 24 December 2006 @ 3:23 am

I was looking thru the PPP dashboard and I saw this hidden jewel: Audio Resume.
So I hopped over, Learn More About Audio Resume and trying to give my resume an edge. I never stop looking for a new job despite this nice cosy own business Okay?

So how is the application gotta work with us? Well, briefly from what I see it, you subscribe, dial to a toll-free US number *(Can skype Out too for free) and answer those tricky questions.
Though there is nothing much on the site to let me try and find out how the service is gonna be good for me…I’ll carry on in a bit…and look at the inner workings. Promise, since it’s XMAS rite… we can be honest.

Wishful Thinking….

Sunday 24 December 2006 @ 3:08 am

Well, Mommy Tia had her fair share of the Wishful thinking thingy….thinking of what she wanna have…. like her (ever drooling over) Canon EOS 400D …which cost alot…
so daddy has a practical list for the new year….

  1. Sony Digital Hard Disk Camcorder
  2. Two 500GB Hard disk
  3. A brand new top of it’s range DeLL Inspiron notebook.
  4. A Brand new Car

All for practical reasons…..

Sony Digatal to snap pics and the video so I can grab those PPP advert Opportunities
500GB HDD cos I wanna add it to the NAS instead…cos Mommy Tia ran outta space…amid the HDD Camcorder purchase…need somewhere to store the pics rite?
Laptop for work and travel
and a new car…cos we are using my Mother-in-Laws Honda Accord…… cos the maintanence is too much….

This ain’t no advert whatsoever….so ….chachacha!

Did I go overboard again?

Saturday 23 December 2006 @ 3:26 pm

Yeah Yeah.. we heard it all, that we took on too much on our plate. I used to take alot of loans to cover my expenses and other things without thinking anything at all…hoping to make it.

While Personal Loans may come as other form of names, like Ready Credit, Easy Cash or what nots that the branding the local banks have, it’s all the same. They are basicly , personal UNSECURED LOANS or Tenant Loans.
Similar to Secured Loans , nicknames like Second Mortgage or Dial-a-loan are just the same. They charge your title deed to the loan you took. So , if you default, it’s bye-bye home. Normally people take a Secured Loan for refurbishment where they can extend a limit of normally up to 125% of the Equity of the Home. For some, it’s extra cash in hand, and some used them to buy a second home …..well.. I’ll tell you more about that…cos I was really stirred by the BBC’s Homes Under The Hammer program.
I think I better kill those card bills by taking a secured loan instead as the 29.9% interest is killing me,compared to the 9.9% by purple loans.
