How-To : Keywords?

Monday 18 September 2006 @ 1:37 am

Google Adwords, Adsense, Yahoo Publisher…what else?

I’m sure I will miss something out on the keywords.

“, “”You will get Nothing for free.”

So I thought…

Well, I itchy fingered and checked on my competitors, what they are advertising all about.

Headline: FREE Adsense Videos!

I did listen in to the long 16 minutes presentation (Even when he is selling something) and it does makes sense.

The average earner will only get about $0.10 per click. If You Are lucky

I did further Forensic Investigation as to the features on the video shown , and YES! I saw the link. Slow motion.

Basic Keywords: How To ,Information, Google, Automobile, Car, Caravan, Holiday, Flight , Travel, Business, Invest.

That is a small list of things to come out of the large database of 75 Million Keywords and Keyphrases.

What??? 75 Million Keywords and where do I get that kind of list?

Well, it’s something to do with WIKI.

4 huge factors have to be considered on the whole Adsense.

-Traffic

-Quality

-Layout

-Quantity

I broke down the sites and pages that I use for the google on different media channels. Similar to what I am putting them on my ads server ,linking keywords and catch phrases into place.

How I broke them down??

Track down each Topic and Title to the respective categories.

Example:This is classed under Topics :Google, yahoo and Ads and Sublink to the Article type of Media.

Interlink the topics to the sections and other relevant articles.

and then you can have an overview of where the visitor is going to, and where he left off , did he go to another site or what?

Quality of Traffic Depends on Quantity

What do I mean by that? I mean depending on the Quality of your articles, the advertiser will only pay what Justify and Quantify the advertising campaign in place.

Majority of the advertising media spending is pushed to the United States, then to Europe especially English Speaking customers then to the middle east, China, Japan and Far East. Australia and New Zealand has a different set of dermographics that I am still trying to understand.

You see, I am linked to so many Affiliate Programs on the Web, from TradeDoubler, Commission Junction Share-a-Sale and many others, and some includes Media Advertising like Adbrite where we get 70% Revenue Share of the profits.

70% ?? That is alot of money. Talk about EBAY. EBAY.COM pays 40% minimum to the affiliate for the share of their revenue on ITEMS BOUGHT Which is basicly the listing fees and Final Value Fee. As I said in my other articles, it relates to approximately 4% of the Sale.

So, for high value items like Computers, Technology and Cars, and average of 4% is paid. So if I sell a car for $25,000 or an iPOD for $200 , I get a commision plus any extras on top.

That explains why in the US, the auto Industry (automotive industries) pays the MOST of the advertising dollars. That surpass some Tobacco Advertising which is always masked by their Travel Adverts like Marlboro Vacations or Lucky Strike Outdoors. Same as the fuel industries, like those by Exxon Mobil (ESSO) or TEXACO (CALTEX) or CONACO , heck even Seven Eleven (7-11) does anything nowadays, just like WAL-MART.

Want to know more?

Another one is the Real Estate Sector that is always paying the biggest payout after Gaming (Casino,Sportsbet,Gambling,Poker).

Related Materials are the cash cow industry.

Topics that get paid highly are like MORTGAGES, LOANS, CREDIT CARD, INSURANCE, PROPERTY DEVELOPER, APARTMENTS.

Banks and Credit Unions run some Re-Mortgage deals and loads of them pay good money just like in the EU/UK. Some mortgage company pays about $40 in average to refer people to change banks or accounts.

This industry will never die.

I did say about the keyword Insurance in this page. Why?

Insurance Agents get paid about the first 2yrs of the life policy as remuneration.

A recent Ads War in the UK pays the affiliate 50 pounds for each policy sold, be it home insurance, car insurance or even Life insurance. Pets are also included which give about 25 quid.

In fact, TESCO and E-SURE are giving away Gift Vouchers as a tangle for people to sign up their car insurance to them. Post Office gives Cash Back of 50 quid recently.

You need to research on the articles you have to write about.

Insurance can be linked to Children, Babies, Mutual Fund, Parents and Healthcare.

And Children are the easiest to manipulate. Show some things and they want em. And they will pester the parents to get that useless thing they fancy.

Even when it harms their health.

^editing still.

Remembering 9-11

Saturday 9 September 2006 @ 2:43 am

A tribute to those who lost their lives during September Eleven 2001.

My heart goes out to those not just lost their lives due to the group of disturbed minds, but more to those who were seeking to save lives.

“, “I am a medical practioner. I not gung-ho nor am I a Rambo.
But we took the oath to seek , save and to preserve humanity.

A New Straits Times Article of a doctor fighting for her life when the ambulance she was in,ferrying the patient went into a ditch. A grim reminder of those who are in the business of saving other people’s lives and putting themselves at risk.

I was having a fun time… a relaxed moment in the kent coast when I got the call about 9/11. The first airplane crashed…. then as the BBC had crossed over their broadcasts to the news, the live image of the second one crashing into the other tower.

My God. I knew then, as I knew now, those who are in that building were at huge risk, and those trying to save them; also at risk.

Here then, and now, my tribute to those who lost their lives during 9/11 , but not only that, of those who lost their fight trying to save others.

I saw once too many, and my deepest sincere heartfelt moments for the families and friends who endured their lost ones. I lost a few of my comrades in the fight to save humanity, and if needed so, I will lay my own life too again.

God bless you all.

Saying No to : STARHUB (or Cable Based ISP)

Thursday 7 September 2006 @ 1:38 am

Gamers alike don’t need the lag from the ISP.”, “Lagging occur
When too many users try to send data simultaneously in a congested network, some data will be delayed or even dropped, much like the problem gamers face.
That was the response by Singapore’s Largest ISP, Starhub NET aka SCV / Cyberway Internet.

It’s actually their fault, and I have to say so, since cable broadband technologies tend to lag, since the modems are crippled and they have to share the uplink with so many people on the network.

Starhub has always this problem and will always have this problem, as long as they stick to the DOCSIS standards.

You see, unlike the United States, they use a fiber at the user’s termination point to uplink and downlink the data. Downlink is never a problem but getting the data up is always the problem.

Having crippled their Motorola Surfboard Modems with an uplink of a mere 256k makes things worse. In singapore, that means the whole block of flats (100 units normally) share the access point, and if that is bad, they have to share that with cable tv and telephone which always take priority over all traffic than streaming gamers data.

You see, unlike ADSL, there is a maximum of 20:1 usage ratio, ie: 20 users to the pipe on a 512K line and it’s been time-based multiplexed and thus giving better peerage. With cable, you got to share that 45M line downlink with everyone and getting to share a mere 2M uplink with everyone + the cabletv+cabel telephone.

And even if they go higher, there will always be a 10ms lag to the access points as the network is running over coaxal cables and everyone have to take turns talking, unlike ADSL, you just blab your way thru directly to the connectivity router or the ISP’s Point of Presense (POP)

Let’s look at some examples (both in UK,Singapore and Malaysia):

Mine , on AOL UK, piggy backing on BT as the telco
1 15 ms 33 ms 15 ms rt-lostd07.dial.aol.com [195.93.23.103]

2 * * * Request timed out.

3 14 ms 14 ms 14 ms accessl1-los-ae3.router.aol.com [172.17.169.59]

4 15 ms 13 ms 15 ms pop1-loh-S2-2-0.atdn.net [66.185.143.197]

5 16 ms 16 ms 15 ms bb2-loh-S0-0-0.atdn.net [66.185.136.226]

6 15 ms 16 ms 14 ms bb1-log-S0-2-0.atdn.net [66.185.152.4]

7 14 ms 13 ms 14 ms pop1-log-S0-0-0.atdn.net [66.185.134.97]
This is with this one in Thailand
2 20 ms 14 ms 15 ms ppp-124.120.145.1.revip2.asianet.co.th [124.120.

145.1]

3 15 ms 14 ms 14 ms 210.86.189.44

4 19 ms 15 ms 15 ms 10.169.44.1

5 * * * Request timed out.

6 29 ms 19 ms 19 ms 61-90-254-78.static.asianet.co.th [61.90.254.78]

7 20 ms 15 ms 17 ms 61-90-254-89.static.asianet.co.th [61.90.254.89]

8 18 ms 657 ms 25 ms 203-144-144-6.static.asianet.co.th [203.144.144.

6]
I will put more if U can pass me a TRACERT

but my conclusion:

it takes 20ms to reach the POP on ADSL whereas it takes about 50 or more to reach the outside world using cable.

5 Ways to outshine your Ads from the competition

Monday 4 September 2006 @ 1:56 am

Google Adwords is a very good place to promote your business on the Internet. It allows you to target for specific keywords, allowing you to to promote right product to the right audiences.

However, as more and more players promote their ads on Adwords, it becomes very hard to get your ads noticed. Here’s are 5 ways how to make your ads outshine your competitors’:

1- Use the keyword in your ad title

Let’s say you’re bidding on the keyword ‘ecover software’, make sure you use the keyword in the title. When someone search on Google for ‘ecover software’, the percentage they’ll see your ad is higher because the keyword in your ad will appear in bold.

2- Use capitalization

Use capital letter on the first letter of every word. Instead of writing your ad like this: ‘make money from home’, try this ‘Make Money From Home’.

3- Use numbers wherever possible

People love numbers. Instead of: ‘Make Money From Home’, you can try ‘Make $897 Weekly From Home’.

4- Benefits, benefits, benefits

People look for product that can solve their problem. So your ad must use words that emphasize more on benefits. Instead of saying ‘our ecover software is the best’, you can say ‘Create Amazing eCover With A Single Click’.

5- Don’t put affiliate status anymore

In the past Google required marketers who promote affiliate products to mention their affiliate status. But with the recent Adwords policy, you don’t have to. Delete the word ‘aff’ and use the extra space for other words. Besides, by hiding your affiliate status, this will encourage more people to click on your link.
