This hard disk thingy reminds me of good old days when I was working at Western Digital in Singapore.

I must admit, I am almost throwing the towel and buy myself a new hdd for my wife (or replace it with the cranny ol 20GB o­ne that I took from the Advent in 2002!)

You see, IBM Travelstar uses Hitachi Hard Disks and well, sometimes you gotta use the low level format to find out the log-pull of the HDD.

I pulled some critical data re-assigning which they called the Drive Fitness Test, which basicly a log pull and Low-Level format, which seems pretty useful for recovering what U think is a dead drive.

I’m still 2hrs into the test and trying to do a sector recovery… so fingers crossed.

Oh, the data? Gone with the wind!

Hands Up! It’s MY FAULT!

What else can I say when you are doing some R&D , Test-Bedding and with less or insufficient sleep and rest… things ALWAYS bugger up!

I was playing with the compliance of Google Adsense with the Sitemaps and seems a little error which I ignored and the whole series of sites went down with it!

This, causes so much problem to alot of applications in my Powweb Sites and well, I gotta recustomise the site .htaccess back from scratch! So if any config error…let me know..
that includes my COIN site at www.gizmonet-intraweb.com

The HDD took alot of beating anyway… way back….

Anyway, like I was saying, SKY DIGITAL BOX! I finally got SKY installed here, after a long ardious wait, cos my landlady owed them like 150 quid of fees.
Went thru EBAYTRUST-WEBSHOP (http://www.buy.at/study)to apply for one, and so a contribution of I think 50 quid to the EBAYTrust community kitty for the turn on.
Could have used my own direct link at thru http://skytv.at/bbs but then, it would be cheating.

Never mind, finally I have that installed, first 4mths half price, no worries for me.£10 credit on top for signing up… so no worries?

Thing is…I am a fan of JAG, STAR TREK and those Sci-Fi movies… so thus I’ll make the commentaries here…soon enuff.

It does make me sob and wither everytime I think of how small my bundle of joy is….

This is a review of my first hand life experience… and making my heart melt.

I was really in an awkward position then. We were in between hard place and a worse place. I lost my job few weeks before as the requirements for manpower were diminished, so was my job.

My Wife broke her water on Friday afternoon and after rushing her to the hospital, she was discharged on Monday lunchtime as nothing else happened. So we thought of going to the High Street getting the baby stuff all in order. Tia was not due for at least 6 weeks! Caught us by surprise. She was supposed to be a new year baby (So I thought). Tia Tia…impatient as it is.. makes her mom jump every now and then.

So, just as we were going to the bank to draw cash out.. mars contractions started..and she started bleeding. Oh No! Not this I thought! I suspected of miscarriage as I’ve seen this many times when I was an attending back in the A&E. What else to do but back to the hospital~

Poor Tia, No welcome blankie or what not for you dear. Have to make do with what the hospital provided and what was on sale at the SCBU (specially knitted stuff donated by others). Hey hang on..it’s just 2140hrs.. and the craps were getting worse. And I was getting jittery. I can’t do ANYTHING to help reduce the pain for my darling. Bad enough that she was asthmatic, but that causes the neurologist unable to do a epidural cos it’s hard enough for them to find a fix on her veins. 49Minutes and 3 doctors to poke and probe her hands to find that capillary. I don’t so many back in the army dayz.. that we do anything to get it done. Last resort, told the Anasthetic to do her foot. She NEEDS THE DRIP U IDIOT! And so it is.. the prick in the foot! Fast flow 20mins/L while they find the other veins. If it all fails then, I really thought of doing the vampire tap!

So …40mins to midnite.. the contractions were getting rapid. Laughing gas didn’t numb her at all. Push dear. Push..and so it is.. That cheeky girl had her head popped out few mins BEFORE MIDNITE but her cord was all tangled up on her neck! Ok dear. hang on.. I had to pull that cord away from her (just like she love to play with the usb cables now) and One LAST BIG PUSH….and it was all over. 0003. Darn! Can’t get that 2359 deadline huh?

So here she is… little tia!

Another Year, Another Series of Events and Full Of Mystery!

This time, it’s more of a PG Rated cos I just saw it o­n DVD. Some Scenes are abit of a jumpy o­ne, where you can be scared stiff of the gory pictures of the monsters, thanks to the creative minds of the designers whom I think have bad nightmares daily of their boss!

One thing I must Quote from the movie, and that is “Remember to keep your friends close” as it does remains true with the morale of the story where a friend dies along with him eventually, murdered.

Sorry for readers par les vous Francais, Pardon Mon Ami for the start of a story with full of vulgarities, but then , this is how IT Geeks and Jerks like me express ourselves when things go down south, in this case SHIT!

I was doing some testing and adding of some PostNuke Modules o­n this site and when the GOOGLESITEMAP which basicly is a crawler sitemap for Google so that we can find the articles and all other bull deep linked without an external call.It definitely works but then I did a little shortcut that went sour.It starts with the modules not loading properly….and the Modules functionality totally went fuck up.
