Saturday - April 1st 2006!

Saturday 1 April 2006 @ 1:33 am

Not April Fool, but I was abit tired.
“, “Brains abit tired though cos I started using em!
Went on rambling with Joomla at Info Perkahwinan Network messing about with the domain name modules, google sitemaps, googlebots, marketplace and subscription based advertising.

This is supposed to be in line with my BBS.NU Ads Media plan which I should test it out fully.

Slow server over the weekend is nothing new here, but if U got any good hacks … let me know.

And talking about hacks, I was looking for Panasonic DVDRecoder DMR-E55 Mod chipped remote.
Cost £20 for the remote though.

April Fool

Saturday 1 April 2006 @ 1:31 am

For only a fool be fooled on All-Fools Day.
“, “Funny these English Heritage about so many days.
Mothers Day, Fathers Day, All-Hollows Day ( aka Halloween ), Easter, Guy Fawks Day (Bon Fire Night) and strangely enough, All-Fools Day aka April Fool.

Being English, one has no way to help pondering, “Are We So Dull and Boring?”, We need so many Holidays and Festivals. Not Enough that we have New Year and Christmas but top it off Easter, and other National Festivals. Not to mention the local county festivals like Charles Dickens Week they celebrated few weeks back in Medway where I accomodate myself.

It’s really getting on my nerves that the English is finding 101 ways to find a method to enjoy themselves. They also celebrate Eid Mubarak, Dewali, Thaipussam, Muharram and all other ethic cultures’ beliefs.

In Scotland, they have Independence Day *(From the Romans?) and other things. Welsh, or the Resident of Wales, Home to the Red Dragons have other simpler things to life.

What of the Irish you say? Irish are always being happy and recently they celebrated in Ireland the biggest one of all, St Patricks Day! Loads of Guiness Stout to drink and loads of irish stew and luck to go about.

Well, it’s a mixed culture, similar to me living back in Singapore or Malaysia for that fact.
Except we don’t have Awal Muharram, Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, and the most funny of them all, Kings Birthday, the Local King or Sultan (Each State has one!) and the Supreme King , the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong which I find them more of a pain in the butt.

Pirates I would say….

Never mind. I’ll touch on the sensitive issue of the Agong later on.

Happy April Fools Day!

PS: I did some research and found this funny, that the English King (dunno who) gave his court Jesters a day off in the whole year, thus April Fools!
