I went to wembley last nite to pick up theRam and DVDROM drive from a seller on EBAY and well…the RAM DID NOT WORK on the Optiplex GX110.Disappointment for me as the idiotic pc needs -80 SDRAM instead, thats 80Nanoseconds refresh time in geekspeak, and what i got was a -88…which is abit slower.
But then…put in the D100 Dell Dimension works…so I’ve to see how fast I can overclock that CPU….which ever I can do with…it’s only a P200Mhz ok?! even the debian is struggling to run.

I’ve ordered a pack of USB2.0 PCI cards so it hopefully work as a fileserver instead.
At least I can fully utilise the FREECOM 80GB hdd….cos my Linksys Network Storage Unit NSLU2 won’t work with FREECOM. dunno why…a fuck up?

Other things in plan… get my hands on ULTIMATE AVENGERS DVD…. was told it was good..so maybe worth my £10 …rather than what?19 quid in Tesco!!

Since there are no commitments for this march…ie NO JOBS TENDERED OUT… I think it’s time to restructure and do what I’ve been dragging on … the websites, and all the advertising programs.

The last Study Support WEBSHOP was quite good.. paying out a generous £140+vat for the january… having few sales done.
I’ve signed up with AMAZON Honor System, so another means to support myself.
Did not reach my ridiculous target of £100,000 commision for FY2005 …so it’s back to the drawing board.

Could carry on rambling about those incidents during my guard duty times in SAS… heh heh ….seeing a soldier jogging ….. the only thing strange was he was only wearing a PT SHORTS, and that’s it…. and the fact that we went THRU the GateBarrier that we were locking… and got that driver who was talking on the fone with his gerl while smoking a real heart attack…and the fact everyone got sick for a few days after that…and landed me in TTSH (Tan Tock Seng Hospital) for SARS like fever…and later refered to CDC (Communicable Disease Center) cos I ran up a high fever of almost up to 40′c at nite and normal temperature in the day…

Those were the days…

Oh did I mention I wrote a complilation of Ghost Stories of Singapore many years back… while I was still in Secondary School?

Should rewrite them here…and maybe send these manuscripts to a publisher I suppose.. write a good complicated ghost story…

Not to mention the time when I was placed in custody at SPD (Selarang Prison Drug Rehab Center)… for soem stupid things I did when I was in army..

Very much disappointed by the concept of Virtual Server 2005.

“, “I honestly though that Microsoft hit the jackpot this time with Virtual Server 2005 R2 offering Virtual Clients are absolutely a waste of time.

What it is , virtually an EMULATOR for people to try play about in the server, ie: trying out without having to make images or hard install.

Good if you are testing your enviromental variables but it needs more juice.

I really thought Microsoft Virtual Server gave an extra lease of life to older computers, by doing remote client service etc, or am I missing something here?

I start the 2003 Installation o­n the XP initially and that STUPID OS wanted to hijack my XP..lucky I realised that it wanted to hijack my WINDOWS.

Nope I don’t want it to go to my C:\ and it doesn’t want to initialise o­n an un-partitioned space.

So.. 3-finger salute, Reboot.

The OS Booted Install just like its cousins with a touch of DOS. Same-Ol Stuff with installing Windows.. the wait etc and I installed o­n my F:\ , an un-initalised partition which I was saving up for my Debian or RedHat, so since it needs not much space and I don’t wanna lose my stuff again, I installed o­n another drive. And Nope! No way I wanna risk myself , having to lose another HDD of precious data of pictures and the works!

Like normal, it takes about 2 full hours to setup, init etc.,.. and the 39 Mins to complete install is a real nutter. Did not materialise.But it is more easier and quicker than W2KAS setup.

The Windows GUI is same as XP, and needs to be activated. I’m gonna find that hack so I can keep the OS. Naughty eh?

MS Virtual Server needs IIS to load and other bits and bobs… so I’ve yet to create the image partition yet. My To-Do after shopping today.

Anyway, enough rambling…and still have to design that IDE/SATA Raid system which I am aspiring.
