CMS is SUPPOSED TO MAKE LIFE EASY.

Yes true…but sometimes … the fact is that before you set out to the world of web publishing, you MUST DECIDE WHAT YOU PLAN for your site.

E-Commerce (if you tend to have one later on)

Unfortunately, I HAVE YET TO SEE ONE THAT WORKS INTEGRATED into one.. some are plug ins..some components ..and some don’t work at all.

BLOG

Common formats : WORDPRESS , TYPEPAD, MOVEABLE TYPEFORMAT

USES own Database. Simple and plain to use. Owner only write rights.

Forum

PHPBB and SMF are common choices. Great and good to work with.VBulletin is paid forum software..cost you $100 at least.

Gallery

If U want free, Gallery 1.52 or 2.0 (slower) is common plus IMD or Renalto.

However, we utilise the usage of Photopost which cost us about $150 that can either be stand alone or work with a CMS like JoomLa or Forum software like vB or PHPBB.
